The most dangerous area around stone slabs is the fall shadow. This session will define the fall shadow and discuss what precautions employees and customers should take to ensure their safety when viewing and moving slabs. Learning Objectives: 1. Understand a slab’s physical properties, including size, weight, and center of gravity. 2. Recognize how the fall shadow changes in several scenarios in your facility. 3. Identify situations where your customers could be impacted by the fall shadow. 4. Understand that there is no place for complacency in the stone industry.
