For countertops, we recommend 12mm or 20mm thickness depending on your installation method and aesthetic preferences. The 12mm option works beautifully for most residential kitchen and bathroom countertops when properly supported with substrate. The 20mm thickness provides a more substantial edge profile and can be installed with minimal substrate in some applications. For flooring, choose 12mm for residential installations or 20mm for high-traffic commercial spaces. The 6mm thickness is typically reserved for wall installations due to it's lower load-bearing capacity.

Yes, advanced manufacturing techniques allow Infinity Surfaces to capture the crystalline depth, champagne tones, and golden veining of natural quartzite with remarkable accuracy. The high-definition digital printing process reproduces the subtle color variations and intricate vein patterns found in authentic stone. Porcelain slabs offer significant advantages over natural quartzite including consistent patterning across slabs, superior stain and scratch resistance, no sealing requirements, and better long-term durability. While natural quartzite remains porous and susceptible to etching from acidic substances, these porcelain alternatives maintain their pristine appearance indefinitely with minimal maintenance.  

Taj Mahal porcelain slabs resist heat up to 500°F without sustaining damage, discoloration, or structural compromise. While the material itself can withstand direct contact with hot cookware, we still recommend using trivets or hot pads as a best practice. This protects not only the slab surface but also prevents potential thermal shock from extreme temperature differentials. Additionally, supporting materials like adhesives or substrates beneath the slab may have lower heat tolerances. The heat resistance makes these slabs ideal for kitchen applications where contact with hot items is inevitable, and they far exceed the heat tolerance of materials like laminate or some solid surfaces.  

Absolutely. While we offer store pickup at all four of our Nova locations in Minden, Reno, Fernley, and Sacramento, we require that you have a truck and A-frame that are properly rated to handle the porcelain slabs. These large format slabs measure over 10 feet in length and require specialized equipment for safe transport. We assist you with loading the slabs onto your truck using our equipment, and you handle transportation from there. Our team can provide guidance on proper securing methods and transportation best practices. If you're uncertain about your vehicle's capability, we're happy to discuss delivery alternatives that ensure your materials arrive safely.  

Yes, we deliver slabs to any of the 48 states in the contiguous United States. Porcelain slabs require special packing and delivery on a large truck. We safely strap the slabs to an A-frame, load them on one of our trucks, and deliver them directly to your fabricator's address. Please ensure your fabricator has a forklift and slab boom or clamp on site to unload the slabs. Our team coordinates delivery timing with your fabricator to ensure someone is available to receive and properly handle the materials upon arrival. We provide freight quotes based on your location and order size.
