Travertine
We have a whole room dedicated to travertine in our show room! Travertine is a very beautiful and versatile stone that can be used in many rooms of your home. Below you'll find the names and pictures of the different types of travertine we stock. But please remember, as with any natural stone the coloration and pattern my vary greatly within one color. Mother Nature never makes two things exactly the same!
The Basics of Travertine
Travertine comes in many finishes: tumbled, honed and filled, chiseled, unfilled and polished.
Travertine is a soft, poreous stone that MUST be sealed before you begin to use the area that has it!
Travertine is part of the limestone family.
Travertine is a sedimentary stone, it is often formed from hard water and mineral deposits. This makes it ideal for use in water areas like showers, while helping to keep cleaning upkeep to a minimum.
Our travertine comes in many different sizes, however not every size is available in every color. The sizes we carry are:
